Tomoka Brewing Company is located just minutes from one of Florida’s most beloved destinations: Daytona Beach. It’s a hub of excitement, with plenty to explore. Here are our favorites:
1. Daytona Beach
“The World’s Most Famous Beach” is a lively seaside centre, where you can find watersports, shoreline games, water parks and plenty of open sand for soaking in the sun. Looking to relax? Rent a surf chair and lounge along the shore with waves lapping at your toes. Explore? Kayak across the waves, or ride the surf. Adventure? Take to the skies with a parasailing flight.
The Boardwalk is an attraction all its own, with plenty of great dining options, shopping, rides and more. Sit atop the rooftop bar overlooking the excitement and ocean tides, or wander through all the attractions along the way.
Whether you’re a beach bum or an ocean adventurer, Daytona Beach is calling.
2. Daytona International Speedway
THE headquarters for race fans, the Daytona International Speedway is home to the Daytona 500, NASCAR’s premier event. Cheer from the stands, or catch the races up close from the fan zone, right in the middle of the garage action, or from the laid-back part deck. The massive track isn’t just for cars; it hosts the most diverse schedule of races on the planet.
Don’t let the adrenaline stop at the finish line. Stand in the footsteps of greats with a behind-the-scenes tour. You can even drive along the track yourself, hitting top speeds in a real race car, or cutting loose in some of the world’s most high-end luxury cars, with the pit crew on hand to give you pointers.
3. Ponce Inlet
Just south of the beach bustle is a slower, more serene stretch of beach. Ponce Inlet is perfect for fishing and relaxing. Towering over the area is the Ponce de Leon Inlet lighthouse, stretching more than 200 steps to the top. Sounds daunting, but it’s a manageable trek for families! And the view is worth it. Don’t forget a trip to the Marine Science Center, with interactive exhibits to get everyone engaged.
4. Golfing
Ranked one of the top places to play in the nation by Golf Week magazine, Daytona Beach is home to many of the state’s highest-rated courses, many of which have been crafted by the game’s greats. The area is even home to the headquarters of the LPGA, which houses 2 championship courses, both challenging with plenty of obstacles, but also fun to play.
5. Biketoberfest
Each year, the streets fill with street festivals, live concerts, biking demos and most importantly, motorcyclists. Riders trek in from across the country for Biketoberfest to celebrate their favorite pastime and explore the Daytona Beach area. Hop on your bike and head over for parties, dining events, bike shows and more. You can even catch the pros racing the Daytona International Speedway.
That’s just an overview. Daytona Beach is full of history, culture and entertainment. Trace the Black Heritage Trail, wind down at the spa, learn about the Timucuan Indians who once roamed the land, explore art museums and more.
